McGuffey had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Brownsville Falcons. Five seems to be a good number for the Highlanders as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Logan Carlisle was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That RBI was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Stout, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

McGuffey's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Brownsville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Falcons beat McGuffey by a score of 8-6 on Tuesday.
