Douglas faced McQueen in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Tigers blew past the Lancers 10-1. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by six runs or more this season.

Camryn McLelland made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Hailee Lister was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Annie Hill, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5.

Douglas was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .321 or higher in ten consecutive contests.

Douglas' victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-5. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for McQueen, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-8.

Douglas has already played their next game, an 11-0 defeat against Reed on the 12th. As for McQueen, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 7-1 loss against Bishop Manogue on the 12th.
