Softball Recap: Ridgewood Has No Trouble Against West Holmes

Ridgewood's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past the West Holmes Knights 11-3. The Generals not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 24th (when they won 15-5).

Ava Kulbacki was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Miciah Cahill was incredible, going 1-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addison Lahmers, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Ridgewood's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-5-1. As for West Holmes, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Ridgewood has already played their next game, a 9-0 win against Coshocton on the 19th. As for West Holmes, they will welcome Madison Comprehensive at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
