Pueblo County entered their tilt with Pueblo Central on Friday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Wildcats. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won seven matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Blake Swift spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Pueblo County got a big performance out of Julian Reyes, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases Reyes has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cohen Glenn, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Pueblo County's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Pueblo Central, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 10-7-1.

Coincidentally, Pueblo County and Pueblo Central will both be playing Pueblo East the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will host the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Hornets will head out to face them at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
