Baseball Recap: Roanoke Rapids Comes Up Short

After flying high against Nash Central on Tuesday, Roanoke Rapids came back down to earth. The Yellowjackets fell just short of the Bunn Wildcats by a score of 5-4 on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost five in a row.

Collin Elias made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run and one double.

Roanoke Rapids' defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Bunn, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 22-2.

As of now, neither Roanoke Rapids nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
