Volleyball Recap: Three Straight Home Wins for Seton Catholic

Seton Catholic had won three straight at home, but on Tuesday they bumped up to 19-5-2 to make it four. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Castle Rock Rockets. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 3-0 victory on October 4th.

Addison Seymer paced Seton Catholic's offense, picking up 11 kills. Seymer got some help from Sofia Southwick and her 16 assists. Southwick was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

As for Castle Rock, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 20-0 La Center (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 88.5% over those games).

Ellie Foster and Brynn White certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Foster had 16 digs and three aces, while White had four digs and two aces. Foster has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Seton Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against La Center on the 23rd. As for Castle Rock, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Columbia on the 23rd.
