Basketball Recap: Effingham County Rebels vs. South Effingham Mustangs
After losing to South Effingham the last time they met, Effingham County decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Effingham County Rebels managed a 62-56 victory over the South Effingham Mustangs on Wednesday.

Effingham County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Elyjah Doty out in front who posted 15 points and eight rebounds. That's the most boards Doty has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lamar Roberts, who went 6 of 12 en route to 13 points and five rebounds.
Despite the loss, South Effingham still got an impressive performance from Chase Seyler, who put up ten points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Marcus Campbell, who scored six points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.
