Baseball Recap: Springdale Bulldogs vs. Har-Ber Wildcats
Springdale had lost eight straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 3-8 to make it nine. They lost 9-1 to the Har-Ber Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 7-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.
As for Har-Ber, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 7 runs.
For Har-Ber's part, they got a great performance from BLAINE VAN HILSEN as he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. That's the most strikeouts VAN HILSEN has posted since back in May of 2025.
At the plate, MAX STEWART was excellent, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was REESE CAVITT, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base.
While Springdale had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
