Baseball Game Preview: Beaver Beavers vs. Millard Eagles

Beaver is 9-1 against Millard since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Beavers will look to defend their home field against the Eagles at 3:30 p.m. Beaver is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

Beaver will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Friday, then bounced right back against Millard on Tuesday. The Beavers were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Eagles. The Beavers haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Andrew Hollingshead was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three).

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Raider Blomquist, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gabe Robinson, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Millard is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13. As for Beaver, their win bumped their record up to 13-2.
