Football Recap: Loomis Gets the Win

Loomis won the last time they faced Maywood/Hayes Center, and Jace Schukar did his part to make sure it happened again. Loomis claimed a resounding 52-0 victory over Maywood/Hayes Center thanks in part to Schukar, who rushed for 129 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.2 rushing touchdowns per game.

Loomis' win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Maywood/Hayes Center, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Loomis will take on rival Cambridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Wolves 12, the Trojans 13.5) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Maywood/Hayes Center is set to face off against their familiar foe Overton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
