Softball Recap: Frankfort Takes Down Hoover in a Playoff Battle

Frankfort extended their postseason success on Friday against Hoover. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Huskies.

Rylee Mangold spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up ten Ks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game.

At the plate, Avery Noel was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Frankfort's victory bumped their record up to 28-1. As for Hoover, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 23-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Frankfort nor Hoover have any future games scheduled.
