Baseball Game Preview: Grace Christian Crusaders vs. Seaforth Hawks

The Grace Christian Crusaders will face off against the Seaforth Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Grace Christian is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Grace Christian had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Latta on Tuesday. Grace Christian put the hurt on Latta with a sharp 13-3 victory. Considering the Crusaders have won four matchups by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Wesley Clewis looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Matt Murchison was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Reggie Marshall, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Seaforth lost 11-1 to Cleveland on Wednesday. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Grace Christian pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Seaforth, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
