 Sidwell Friends came into Wednesday's   game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past the Georgetown Day Mighty Hoppers  14-12. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Sidwell Friends considering their two-run performance the  match before.
 For Georgetown Day's part,  Corina Bellerman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  scored three  runs and  stole three bases while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Tatum Mach, who  went 2-for-4 with five  RBI and a  run.
 Sidwell Friends  made their fans wait, but they earned their first win of the season to make their record 1-3. As for Georgetown Day, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sidwell Friends will take on Bullis at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Georgetown Day, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Brookewood at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. One thing working in Georgetown Day's favor is that they have posted big  run totals  in their last six contests.
