Grassfield has gone a perfect 10-0 against Great Bridge recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Grizzlies will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses apiece dating back to last season.

Grassfield is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against King's Fork on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Grizzlies were outmatched by the Bulldogs and fell 55-13. While losing is never fun, the Grizzlies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 23rd).

Meanwhile, Great Bridge fell victim to Nansemond River and their airtight defense on Friday. They had to suffer through a 42-0 loss at the hands of the Warriors. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

Great Bridge's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Grassfield, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 0-5.

Grassfield strolled past Great Bridge in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a score of 29-15. Do the Grizzlies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
