Volleyball Recap: Southwest Falls Short Against Ranked Reagan

Southwest faced Reagan in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Eagles took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bison. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.

Among those leading the charge was Santiago Mejia, who had seven digs and two aces. Gabriel Arias also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Southwest's loss dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Reagan, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-2.

Coming up, Southwest will square off against Archbishop McCarthy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Reagan, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Columbus on the 11th.
