Soccer Recap: Beta Academy Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three matchups, Beta Academy finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They came up short against the Cristo Rey Jesuit Lions, falling 5-0. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Fighters couldn't quite close it out.

Beta Academy's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Cristo Rey Jesuit, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beta Academy will challenge Genesis Christian at 5:00 p.m. on February 27th. Cristo Rey Jesuit will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bob Hope at 7:00 p.m. on March 28th.
