Baseball Recap: Hamburg Find Success

Hamburg's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the J.P. McCaskey Red Tornado, sneaking past 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Hawks have posted since April 9, 2024.

Hamburg let Ricky Clark and Tyler Shuey run wild. Clark scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2, while Shuey scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Isaak Stewart also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Hamburg now has a winning record of 3-2. As for J.P. McCaskey, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Hamburg wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-2 victory against Oley Valley on the 26th. As for J.P. McCaskey, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-4 defeat against Octorara Area on the 26th.
