Coralia Savin was excellent on Thursday, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Thanks to that strong showing, she's now averaging 5.1 strikeouts per game. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was her fifth in a row with more than seven strikeouts. This year, Savin has been strong no matter where she plays. On the mound, she has an ERA of 2.28 over 27.7 innings pitched. Meanwhile, at bat she has slashed 0.517/0.583/0.586 with 13 RBI, plus 11 stolen bases.
