Basketball Recap: Molina Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Molina took on Hillcrest on Tuesday. The Molina Jaguars had to suffer through a 50-16 loss at the hands of the Hillcrest Panthers. The Jaguars have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Hillcrest got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Aubrey Norton out in front who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance gave Norton a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Clauriannys Berrios, who posted ten points along with eight rebounds and five assists.

Molina's defeat dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Hillcrest, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-13.

Molina does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hillcrest has already played their next contest (against South Oak Cliff), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
