Soccer Game Preview: Miami Beach vs. Hialeah Educational Academy

The Miami Beach Hi-Tides will take on the Hialeah Educational Academy Biggie in a holiday battle at at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Miami Beach is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.9 goals per game this season.

Miami Beach is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Coral Gables just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Cavaliers by a score of 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Hi-Tides came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 133rd).

Miami Beach's goal came courtesy of Tomas Visintini, who's now up to seven this season.

Meanwhile, Hialeah Educational Academy kept a clean sheet against Avant Garde Academy on Monday. They blew past the Sharks 4-0. The result was nothing new for the Biggie, who have now won eight contests by four goals or more so far this season.

Hialeah Educational Academy pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those three matches. As for Miami Beach, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 8-1-1.
