Football Game Preview: New Trier Trevians vs. Warren Township Blue Devils + How To Watch

The New Trier Trevians will head out on the road to challenge the Warren Township Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.

New Trier's offense might be in the hot seat on Saturday considering what happened against Glenbrook South on Friday. They were outmatched by the Titans and fell 45-0. The Trevians have struggled against the Titans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Warren Township entered their tilt with Libertyville on Friday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They blew past the Wildcats, posting a 49-21 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Blue Devils' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Wildcats are ranked 115th).

New Trier better keep an eye on Aaron Stewart. He was instrumental in Warren Township's win, rushing for 227 yards and six TDs while picking up 9.5 yards per carry. Stewart's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 18th straight game with at least 113 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Warren Township was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 415 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in August.

Warren Township's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for New Trier, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

New Trier came up short against Warren Township when the teams last played back in September of 2017, falling 7-3. Can the Trevians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
