Softball Recap: Pima Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Pima's offense. They came up short against the Morenci Wildcats on Thursday, falling 15-0. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Roughriders' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Pima's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-9. As for Morenci, they now have a winning record of 12-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pima will challenge Duncan at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Morenci, they will take on Benson at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bobcats have averaged an impressive 10.1 runs per game this season.
