Mercy Career & Technical won the last time they faced the Kimberton Waldorf Bulls, and things went their way on Thursday too. Mercy Career & Technical greeted the New Year with with a 52-35 victory over Kimberton Waldorf.
Taji Stewart continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 15 points. The contest was his third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Ford, who scored ten points.
Kimberton Waldorf lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Franklin Matichak, who scored 19 points along with four steals. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for him. JoJo Da Graca was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six steals.
Mercy Career & Technical's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Kimberton Waldorf, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Delaware Valley Friends the next time they take the court. Kimberton Waldorf will host Delaware Valley Friends at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while Mercy Career & Technical will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
