Baseball Recap: Lone Peak Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lone Peak waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Westlake Thunder with a sharp 8-1 victory. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 11-1 victory on Wednesday.

Grady Slesk was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Jordan Tucker was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

The win got Lone Peak back to even at 11-11. As for Westlake, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-17.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Lone Peak will challenge rival Pleasant Grove at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Westlake is set to square off against their familiar foe American Fork at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
