Crossland is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Douglass just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. Both finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked the Cavaliers' first draw of the season.

Meanwhile, Central fell victim to Gwynn Park and their airtight defense on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Yellowjackets. One reason for the loss might be the Falcons' aggressive play style: three Central players were handed yellow cards.

Central was without their leading scorer, Mario Teo-Rivera, in Thursday's match. With Teo-Rivera sidelined, Melvin Lineras got his first action of the season.

With that draw, Crossland's record moves to 4-1-1. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Crossland skirted past Central 2-1 in their previous meeting back in September of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Crossland since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
