Basketball Recap: Mt. Baker's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Mt. Baker hadn't done well against Nooksack Valley recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Mt. Baker Mountaineers walked away with a 59-47 win over the Nooksack Valley Pioneers. The victory was some much needed relief for the Mountaineers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Mt. Baker now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Nooksack Valley, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-6.

Mt. Baker has already played their next match (against Oak Harbor), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Nooksack Valley will square off against Lynden Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Lynden Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
