It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Strongsville ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They came out on top against the St. Edward Eagles by a score of 5-1. This was payback for the Mustangs, who suffered a 6-5 loss the last time these two teams met.

Strongsville's win bumped their record up to 15-9-1. As for St. Edward, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 12-11 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Strongsville will head out to take on Brunswick at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Devils have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
