Baseball Recap: Whiteville Makes It Eight in a Row at Home

Whiteville proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 11) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the West Bladen Knights 8-7. The Wolfpack haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Whiteville pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for West Bladen, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-4 record this season.

Whiteville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 14-1 win against Pender on the 10th. As for West Bladen, they have also already played their next contest, a 5-0 victory against Midway on the 10th.
