Volleyball Recap: Beech Grove Wins Going Away Against Purdue Polytechnic

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Monrovia, Beech Grove was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Purdue Polytechnic Techies with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Hornets as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-16, 25-8.

Ryker LeTourneau paced Beech Grove's offense, picking up nine kills. LeTourneau got some help from Aidyn Collins and his 19 assists. LeTourneau was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Beech Grove's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Purdue Polytechnic, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beech Grove will host Warren Central at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Purdue Polytechnic, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Providence Cristo Rey at 6:00 p.m. on May 5.
