Softball Recap: Mckinney Comes Up Short on the Road Against Plano

McKinney had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 17-1 to the Plano Wildcats on Tuesday. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Michayla Franzen was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

Even though they lost, McKinney was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.

Coming up, McKinney will take on Lindale in a tournament on Thursday. As for Plano, they will face off against Timber Creek at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
