Malad had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.9 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Ririe Bulldogs with a sharp 16-1 win. Considering the Dragons have won 13 games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Malad got a massive performance out of Logan Maroney, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Aspen Bingham, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Malad was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .364 or higher in eight consecutive contests.

Malad's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Ririe, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.

Coming up, Malad will square off against Logan at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Dragons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Grizzlies have averaged an impressive 10 runs per game this season. As for Ririe, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Fremont at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Huskies will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
