Basketball Recap: Northview Wildcats vs. Springfield Blue Devils
The Northview Wildcats can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against Springfield by a score of 53-41. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Northview also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Springfield lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kai Taylor, who scored 13 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Taylor has scored all season. Nate Pope was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Northview's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-9. As for Springfield, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-12.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Wauseon the next time they take the court. Springfield will head out to face Wauseon at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday, while Northview will host them at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
