Softball Preview: Robertsdale Golden Bears vs. T.R. Miller Tigers
The Robertsdale Golden Bears will look to defend their home field on Friday against the T.R. Miller Tigers at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Robertsdale: 3.6, T.R. Miller: 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Budke has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Budke was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two RBI.
In other batting news, Robertsdale got a massive performance out of Mattie Byrd, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and a triple. Another player making a difference was Blakelynn Dunlavy, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, T.R. Miller pushed their score to seven the last time they played Mary G. Montgomery, but on Thursday they couldn't quite do it again. T.R. Miller's pitcher stepped up to hand Mary G. Montgomery a 1-0 shutout. The win was just what T.R. Miller needed coming off of an 11-1 defeat in their prior matchup.
Not much got past Ollie Billingsley, who gave up just three hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Mary G. Montgomery off the board.
At the plate, T.R. Miller's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Meg Fountain, who went 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI.
Robertsdale's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for T.R. Miller, their victory bumped their record up to 22-10.
