Baseball Recap: St. Francis Wins Going Away Against Zimmerman

While St. Francis put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Zimmerman. The Fighting Saints were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Thunder. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Fighting Saints' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

The team relied heavily on Cooper Fiskewold, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hunter Nalewaja, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

St. Francis always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Zimmerman only posted an OBP of .286.

The victory snapped St. Francis' losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-4 record. As for Zimmerman, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
