The Cardinals fell just short of the Lions by a score of 37-35 on Wednesday. The contest marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Union Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryan Mills, who posted nine points along with five assists and four steals. Mills continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Gavin Short, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten boards.
