Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Anna + How To Watch

Anna won against Greenville on Tuesday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Coyotes put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 11-1 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Coyotes sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Bretten Tardiff spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up 12 Ks. Those 12 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.

On the hitting side, Anna let Gage Gibson and Roman Rushing run wild. Gibson went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Rushing went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Gibson has become a key player for Anna: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-11-2 otherwise. Luke Gerving also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Anna's win bumped their record up to 6-11-2. As for Greenville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Anna will host Sherman at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Greenville, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lovejoy at 6:00 p.m. on the 15th.
