Baseball Recap: Eisenhower Knights vs. Youngsville Eagles
Eisenhower had lost nine straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 1-8 to make it ten. They came up short against the Youngsville Eagles, falling 11-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-1 on April 9th.
As for Youngsville, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-4. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by nine runs or more this season.
For Youngsville's part, Braydon Baker made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out seven over 4.1 innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave Baker a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
