Soccer Recap: Riverdale Takes a Loss

Riverdale lost against Abingdon/Avon back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rams came up short against the Tornadoes, falling 6-2. Riverdale have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Riverdale's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Abingdon/Avon, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-3-1.

Coming up, Riverdale will challenge Kewanee at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Abingdon/Avon, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-0 win against Hoopeston on the 12th.
