Volleyball Recap: Whitman-Hanson Regional Takes a Loss

Whitman-Hanson Regional suffered their biggest defeat since September 11, 2024 on Monday. They lost 3-0 to the Duxbury Dragons. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Dragons recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

While Whitman-Hanson Regional had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-19, 25-21.

Brooke Steele paced Whitman-Hanson Regional's offense, picking up seven kills. Steele got some help from Leah Barnett and her ten assists. Barnett and Steele didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with four apiece.

Whitman-Hanson Regional's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Duxbury, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Whitman-Hanson Regional didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Scituate on the 17th. As for Duxbury, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Hanover on the 17th.
