Basketball Recap: South Jones Takes a Loss

South Jones suffered their closest loss since December 10, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of the Brookhaven Panthers by a score of 44-42. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Braves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-34 back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brookhaven to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sh'Nya Hill, who posted seven points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Zaniya Nunnery, who earned 16 points and five steals.

South Jones' defeat dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Brookhaven, they moved to 12-14 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

South Jones does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Brookhaven has also already played their next contest, a 39-29 loss against Florence on the 4th.
