Softball Recap: Cheboygan Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Cheboygan's offense. They came up short against the Clare Pioneers on Saturday, falling 12-0. The Chiefs' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Cheboygan's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Clare, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0.

Coming up, Cheboygan will head out on the road to square off against Kingsley at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Stags will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Chiefs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Clare, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 4-3 loss against Petoskey on the 19th.
