Basketball Recap: Grace Christian Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Fayetteville Christian on Tuesday, Grace Christian came back down to earth. The Crusaders took a 58-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Concord Academy Eagles on Friday. The Crusaders have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the defeat, Grace Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kaedyn Cole dropped a double-double with 27 points and 12 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cole has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ka'Maree Butler, who posted eight points.

Concord Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jonas Agyeman, who scored eight points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists. Another player making a difference was Cruz Miller, who earned 12 points and five boards.

Grace Christian suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 4-2. As for Concord Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Coming up, Grace Christian will take on Rolesville in a tournament on Friday. As for Concord Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 74-59 victory against Providence Day on the 22nd.
