Volleyball Game Preview: Lapel Bulldogs vs. Monroe Central Golden Bears + How To Watch

The Lapel Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Monroe Central Golden Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Lapel will be strutting in after a win while Monroe Central will be coming in after a defeat.

Lapel saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came out on top against Whiteland by a score of 2-0.

Meanwhile, Monroe Central lost 3-0 to Winchester Community on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Golden Bears in their meetings with the Golden Falcons: they've now lost three in a row.

While Monroe Central was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Winchester Community's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-14, 25-15.

Lapel has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. As for Monroe Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-16.

Everything went Lapel's way against Monroe Central in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as Lapel made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
