For the second straight game, Fernley will face off against Dayton. The Vaqueros will challenge the Dust Devils at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Fernley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

The home team had come away the winner the last three times Fernley and Dayton had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Vaqueros came out on top against the Dust Devils by a score of 5-1 on Thursday.

For Dayton's part, LaSade Conti spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on 13 hits and racked up nine Ks. Conti has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Dayton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Macie Hannum, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Dayton is on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-12. As for Fernley, their win bumped their record up to 11-6.

Friday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Fernley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .359. However, it's not like Dayton struggles in that department as they've averaged .395. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
