Baseball Recap: West Branch Warriors vs. Lakeview Bulldogs
West Branch extended their losing streak to three on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 4-8 in the process. They lost 7-0 to the Lakeview Bulldogs. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.
As for Lakeview, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by seven runs or more this season.
For Lakeview's part, Nicolas Aho was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out six over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Aho has posted over his last five games. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
