Basketball Game Preview: Nimitz Vikings vs. Irving Tigers

Nimitz is on a five-game streak of home losses, Irving a 15-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Friday. The Nimitz Vikings will welcome the Irving Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Tuesday, Nimitz took a blow against Richardson, falling 80-17. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1152nd, while the Eagles are ranked 213th).

Meanwhile, Irving was beaten by Pearce 49-20 on Tuesday.

Nimitz's defeat dropped their record down to 6-19. As for Irving, their loss dropped their record down to 5-19.
