Baseball Recap: Everett Finds Home Field Redemption Against Snohomish

There's no place like home for Everett, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Snohomish Panthers on Monday. Considering the Seagulls' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Owen Brunni made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Everett is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-12 otherwise. Brunni was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jack Franklin, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Lincoln Stewart, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Everett always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Everett's record now sits at 7-12. As for Snohomish, with the defeat, they broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-7.

Everett will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
