Baseball Recap: East Ridge Takes a Loss

East Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Betsy Layne Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, with their most recent defeat being a 11-2 loss on Tuesday.

East Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Betsy Layne, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-16.

Looking ahead, East Ridge will face off against Jenkins at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Betsy Layne, they will be playing at home against Phelps at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12 runs per game on average), something the Bobcats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
