It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Woods Cross ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They skirted past the Northridge Knights 10-9. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 18-12 back in March.

Bree Benson made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over eight innings while giving up four earned (and four unearned) runs off 14 hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

In other batting news, Audrey Ayala was incredible, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Whitney Winegar, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
