Basketball Game Preview: Sachse Mustangs vs. Rockwall Yellowjackets

Sachse has won four straight games at home, while Rockwall has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Sachse Mustangs will host the Rockwall Yellowjackets at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, Sachse didn't have too much trouble with Rowlett as they won 55-36. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while the Eagles are ranked 697th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Rockwall beat North Forney 39-26 on Tuesday.

Sachse is also on a roll lately: they've won 22 of their last 23 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 29-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Rockwall, their win bumped their record up to 22-12.

Sachse won a game that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in February of 2021, slipping by Rockwall 45-44. Will Sachse repeat their success, or does Rockwall have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
